In other years, Dia de los Muertos in San Francisco would mean a November 2nd community celebration honoring the dead, with altars in a local park and a candlelight procession through the streets of the Mission District. In the face of the Covid pandemic, the Marigold Project has moved the 2020 commemoration online, with beautiful elemental altars created by local artists.
